The Arduino Xbee shield allows your Arduino board to communicate wirelessly using Zigbee. It was developed in collaboration with Libelium. This documentation describes the use of the shield with the XBee 802.15.4 module sometimes called quotSeries 1quot to distinguish them from the Series 2 modules, although quotSeries 1quot doesn't appear in the official

1x Arduino-- The XBee Shield should work with any Arduino-compatible board -- Uno, RedBoard, Mega, you name it. 2x XBees-- XBees exist in a variety of series, frequencies, and ranges. If you're just getting started with XBee, we highly recommend going with Series 1 models -- either with a trace antenna, wire antenna or u.fl connector.

Plugging your XBee to the Shield. At first, plugging the XBee to the shield can be quite confusing especially without proper markings. Luckily, the shield has some white silkscreen to help orient your XBee as you're plugging it in. The XBee's two diagonal edges should match with the two diagonal lines on the PCB. Now your XBee is all set.

XBee Shield V2.0. The new version of XBee Shield is a standardized and stackable shield compatible with Arduino. You can easily stack any modules from the Bee series onto it, and build a wireless network for your project. In spite of that, it is also equipped with function of level conversion,

The shield does not come with headers installed we recommend the Arduino Stackable Header Kit. The XBee module is also not included. Features Mounts directly onto your Arduino DIN and DOUT pins of XBee can be connected to either the UART pins or any digital pin on the Arduino D2 and D3 default 3.3V power regulation and MOSFET level

The XBee Shield simplifies the task of interfacing an XBee with your Arduino. This board mates directly with an Arduino Pro or USB board, and equips it with wireless communication capabilities using the popular XBee module. Wireless Arduino program upload by XBee. XBee shield support program Arduino platform by wireless. Only XB24 series

Note This Xbee shield should be used with other wireless modules to realize wireless functions like WiFi, Bluetooth, etc., and it doesn't have wireless capability itself. This low-power Xbee shield for Arduino allows you to add wireless capability to your Arduino projects using Xbeenot included more easily and cost-effectively!

Connect the Xbee shields to the Arduino by placing on top of the Arduino. Connect the Xbee's to the shields and connect the Arduino Forum. Xbee shield. Projects. The shield is easy to use and offers reliable transmission of critical data between devices. It can be directly stacked on top of Arduino Uno Leonardo and Mega. Besides, the shield provides a 5-3.3V voltage converter to allow 3.3V communication modules to interface Arduino 5V system. The compatibility of this Xbee shield is extremely good.

The shield also takes care of level shifting on the DIN pin of the XBee. The board also includes LEDs to indicate power and activity on DIN, DOUT, RSSI, and DIO5 pins of the XBee. The Arduino's reset button is brought out on the shield, and a 12x11 grid of 0.1quot holes are available for prototyping.
